January Wrap Up

Oops sorry for the very late wrap-up 😛

I read one book (yes one only) throughout the month. I guess I’m in a pretty huge reading slump 😦

I suck at keeping new year resolutions.

I’d even printed out the ‘Don’t Break The Chain’ Calendar, but it didn’t stop me from slacking off – I did 2 days of exercise, 2 days of blogging and 0 days of programming (what a great start haha).

Anyway, January was quite a busy month. There were loads of test and I managed to survive the parent’s day (whoohoo!). I got pretty good grades – better than what I’d expected 😀 Thanks to the studyspo community in Tumblr, I managed to stay motivated.

There wasn’t anything exciting happened in Jan tbh…. It’s just the old school routine, so there isn’t much for me to write 😛

Music:

Yup. Still listening to this. I love this album, although quite a lot of people hate Taylor for changing her style.

December Wrap Up

Time flew by and December 2014 has come to an end. Here’s what I’ve done in the last month of the year:

Oh no I’m way behind with my review schedule D: But I couldn’t fight the temptation so I ended up reading a new book before reviewing the last one I’ve read

Waiting on Wednesday: The Way We Bared Our Souls by Willa Strayhorn
Book Discussion: The One

I thought that I’d have more free time once it’s Christmas Holiday. Nope.

I went to Taipei for the first week of holiday!!! It’s so much fun and I really enjoyed the trip! Especially with the book shopping lol. I really shouldn’t be allowed in a book store. My family and I didn’t do much sightseeing though – we treated it as a ‘chillax’ trip. (By the way, the bookhaul will be up soon 🙂 )

After a week of relaxation, it’s time to face the reality again. To be honest I did bring some work to Taipei, intending to clear off some of my to-dos, but ended up chilling and procrastinating. And THAT lead to the disastrous situation I’m in right now. I had 3 days of extra lessons and I didn’t do much (procrastinating again opps) and now I have a big pile of homework to do, plus 3 tests coming up next week. I really should’ve started earlier 😦  Also, I apologise for the inactiveness! I can’t believe that I’ve only posted four times this month.

I’m fully aware that my posts are full of rants, and that my promises – post more and spare 0.5 hour everyday for blogging didn’t happen. At all. So I’m going to write a post on my 2015 plan / what to expect – it’d probably be up soon.

Finally got this from Taiwan 😀

Thank you for giving me an incredible 2014.

HAPPY NEW YEAR and I’ll see you later!

November Wrap Up

My first ever audio book! (Book discussion coming up soon 😀 )

I participated in the #BookBlogWriMo hosted by BookBumblings! It was a great experience and I’m glad I was able to finish them all! (Although some of them were late (opps))

School:
November was filled with test and I am sleep deprived (keep dozing off in class :P). Despite the overwhelming schedule, I managed to squeeze in some time for programming!

Audible:
In August, I decided to create a free Audible account. I then ditched it because I kept falling asleep listening to the Hunger Games (I thought that audio books weren’t my cup of tea). Three months later in November, I was told that US$14.95 was charged. Shocked, I went on the site and realised that 3 credits were given to me. I had no idea when my free account had changed into a Gold Membership account and why I had no knowledge about it. Anyway, at least I got to download some audio books.

I’d have read nothing this month if I hadn’t download and listen to The One. My eyes are always too tired after school – I don’t want to read anything. Now I could just listen to it with my eyes closed (or multitask).

Movie:

The soundtrack and quotes from this movie are great! I even made a wallpaper for my desktop:
interstellar
(I know this quote is not originally from the movie)

We used to look up at the sky and wonder at our place in the stars, now we just look down and worry about our place in the dirt.

Mankind was born on Earth. It was never meant to die here.

August was pretty awesome. I went to the US for study tour and it was an once-in-a-life-time experience. I got to attend different classes and learnt a lot – DNA, Neuroscience, business, artificial intelligence, intuition and many many more. San Francisco is beautiful and I missed it so much D:

I arrived Hong Kong on the 19th of August and was forced to stay up all day so I won’t be that jet-lagged the next day. I was so tired I could sleep standing on the street. The next day I went to school and after that, I got chickenpox (whoops). The first few days were quite hard but after that, everything is fine (except my face). I took advantage of the week to do my homework and study. (Advice: do not leave your homework till the end of the holiday). I was totally not in the mood so I ended up on the internet blogging and watching Youtube videos 😛
So yeah, that’s basically how August went. Study tour – sick – work.
