My ‘waiting on’ pick this week is:

Book Title: Cut Me Free

Author: J.R. Johansson

Publication Date: 27/1/2015

Seventeen-year-old Charlotte barely escaped from her abusive parents. Her little brother, Sam, wasn’t as lucky. Now she’s trying to begin the new life she always dreamed of for them, but never thought she’d have to experience alone. She’s hired a techie-genius with a knack for forgery to remove the last ties to her old life. But while she can erase her former identity, she can’t rid herself of the memories. And her troubled history won’t let her ignore the little girl she sees one day in the park. The girl with the bruises and burn marks. That’s when Charlotte begins to receive the messages. Threatening notes left in her apartment–without a trace of entry. And they’re addressed to Piper, her old name. As the messages grow in frequency, she doesn’t just need to uncover who is leaving them; she needs to stop whoever it is before anyone else she loves ends up dead.

Plans for 2015

New year, new start.

But before that, I have to take a moment and thank you all for your support! I know it sounds cheesy but it’s really great knowing that someone out there actually reads my posts (and that I’m not talking to myself haha). I’m glad that I joined the wonderful book blogging community and would never regret this decision.
Enough of this gibberish. Let’s dive straight into my plans for 2015 and what to expect.

1. I’ll be posting every Tuesday / Wednesday, Friday and Sunday
Tuesday / Wednesday will be dedicated to memes. I won’t be posting two memes every week though.

2. Beyond the Book post will be a monthly feature
Researching requires time so I’ll be doing that every month.

3. Mock exam in late March
I won’t be active in March (sorry!) I’ll be busy preparing for my mocks and doing past papers.

4. Study leave for a month and a half!
After my mocks I’ll have no school until the end of my IGCSEs exams (mid-June). I’m quite positive that I could squeeze in some time for blogging 🙂

5. I won’t be setting any reading goals
School is stressful enough and I don’t want to turn reading into a ‘liability’. I prefer reading whatever and whenever I want.

That’s pretty much it! I might change something throughout the year but we’ll see 😀

December Wrap Up

Time flew by and December 2014 has come to an end. Here’s what I’ve done in the last month of the year:

Oh no I’m way behind with my review schedule D: But I couldn’t fight the temptation so I ended up reading a new book before reviewing the last one I’ve read

Waiting on Wednesday: The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black
Holiday Gift Guide for Book Lovers!
Waiting on Wednesday: The Way We Bared Our Souls by Willa Strayhorn
Book Discussion: The One

I thought that I’d have more free time once it’s Christmas Holiday. Nope.

I went to Taipei for the first week of holiday!!! It’s so much fun and I really enjoyed the trip! Especially with the book shopping lol. I really shouldn’t be allowed in a book store. My family and I didn’t do much sightseeing though – we treated it as a ‘chillax’ trip. (By the way, the bookhaul will be up soon 🙂 )

After a week of relaxation, it’s time to face the reality again. To be honest I did bring some work to Taipei, intending to clear off some of my to-dos, but ended up chilling and procrastinating. And THAT lead to the disastrous situation I’m in right now. I had 3 days of extra lessons and I didn’t do much (procrastinating again opps) and now I have a big pile of homework to do, plus 3 tests coming up next week. I really should’ve started earlier 😦  Also, I apologise for the inactiveness! I can’t believe that I’ve only posted four times this month.

I’m fully aware that my posts are full of rants, and that my promises – post more and spare 0.5 hour everyday for blogging didn’t happen. At all. So I’m going to write a post on my 2015 plan / what to expect – it’d probably be up soon.

Finally got this from Taiwan 😀

Thank you for giving me an incredible 2014.

HAPPY NEW YEAR and I’ll see you later!

The Best of 2014

2014 has ended (HAPPY NEW YEAR) so I put together a list of top books I’ve read this year:

1. Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson

2. Cress by Marissa Meyer

The following are AWESOME books that I have problem ranking them

I’ve read loads of great books last year and I hope there’ll be more in 2015 😀 Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR ONCE AGAIN and I’ll see you tomorrow (tomorrow being after I’ve woken up. It’s almost 1am now) with a December Wrap Up!
