How I store my bookmarks

Bookmarks are great because 1. I don’t like dog-ears  2. I cannot remember where I stopped reading last time

So, to prevent the clumsy me from losing them, I grabbed a highlighter box that was lying around my house and store the bookmarks in it:

The size is p-e-r-f-e-c-t for bookmarks

It’s thin and light so I sticked it to the side of my bookshelf using some blue tack.

How do you guys store your bookmarks? Or do you use them?

Some changes…

Since I’ve finished school, I’ve uploaded 4 post – and 3 of them are memes. Memes are really quick to write as you barely have to plan and think (I definitely took advantage of that), and you get to keep your book blog updated without putting effort in it.

Now I’m not saying that memes are bad or anything, I just think that as a blogger, I should put in some time in writing a post, making sure it is of high quality, instead of just throwing out some memes because I’m too lazy or in a horrible reading slump. Because of that, I’ve decided to change from posting weekly and following a schedule to posting irregularly but ensuring the quality of my posts.

I’m proud to say that I’m FINALLY out of my reading slump (hurray!), and I hope I’d be able to put together a decent book review after finishing Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson. Anyway, thanks for putting up with me and I hope you’ll have a great day/night!

Top Ten Books I’ve Read So Far In 2015:

1. Pivot Point by Kasie West

2. The Giver by Lois Lowry

3. 404 Error Not Found

Two? TWO ONLY!? I just can’t believe that

I’m currently reading The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson, but it feels weird. Like the act of reading makes me feels weird. Maybe it’s because I’m still at the beginning of the story, it’s very difficult for me to get excited and be like ‘I HAVE TO READ IT’.

Anyway, I hope I’d be able to read more in the summer (I must). So what are your top ten books you’ve read so far?

My ‘waiting on’ pick this week is:

Book Title: The Girl at the Center of the World

Author: Austin Aslan

Publication Date: 4th August, 2015

As sixteen-year-old Leilani and her family learn to live without electronics, farming the land as her ancestors did, she finds strength in her relatives, her friendships, and her strange connection to the Emerald Orchid–the force whose presence caused global devastation–but suffers regret over what she must do to survive.

An exciting and satisfying sequel that continues the thrilling ideas and adventure of THE ISLANDS AT THE END OF THE WORLD.

Native Hawaiian mythology and history is beautifully intertwined in the story.

An eco-thriller by an expert: great choice for dystopian fans who want a new spin. The author has a masters in tropical conservation biology from the University of Hawaii-Hilo.

Update

I’m done with my finals! *celebrates*

IGCSEs are in 11 days though… so I’ll remain on hiatus until mid-June (Sorry! I thought I’d have more time during study leave but apparently I was wrong.)

Recently I’ve posted two DNFs in a row. I assure you that it’s not due to a reading slump – I’ve finished The Giver right after my last exam and tbh it was pretty good. There’s one problem though – I don’t really know how to write a DNF review without sounding too rude and remain 100% honest. I apologise if I’ve offended anyone!

So yeah this is a short update… I guess I’ll see you guys in one and a half month! Good luck to those having exams 🙂
